Primed For Praise

What a time we had at Christ The King Church yesterday.  Amazing worship...I was so happy to be back into full voice, it's been a long time. When we entered into the building, everyone was primed to enter into the presence of God.  When the Communion service started, it was like water to my thirsty soul.  There truly isn't anything like being in the presence of God.

The Ice Storm

The fellowship after was the icing on the cake.  Sure, it was messy outside but the warmth of love inside was pure joy.  It was so good to see everyone helping clean up after the meal.  Marvin Jackson said that the traffic jam to the sink was worse than the beltway in Baltimore.

Ice is beautiful and dangerous.

Let me encourage you today, if you don't have a local church, find one.  You will find strength there.  It's more than just a building, it's a community.  TV preachers and bible study books are good but there is something about walking into a place, knowing that you belong there, knowing that you are a part of that house (God's house and family), they know you and love you anyway.  You can't get that from books and TV.

We were sending kisses to Kelcie (our baby girl) in Ireland.

That is what CTK is for me.  We love God and people. We encourage one another, we recognize that we are all flawed and we love each others flaws.  Truthfully, what some see as flaws we see as strengths. We are crazy that way.  The more flaws, the more we love you.  That's why they love me so much...lol.

Communion service and Worship service.

I love my church and all who walk through those doors.  I hope you feel the same about yours.

Our "Giving Church Banks" that the preschoolers and
babies made in nursery.
Teaching them about LENT and giving of yourself.
They are a part no matter the age.
