Look At Us...Look To Me

A brother and sister praying for each other
My heart is full

Bishop Richard Hilton preached a message called, Beyond Beautiful.  This message has been stirring in my spirit, well, ever since he preached it.  This morning when I woke up and started into the scriptures, I had to reread the story in Acts 3 and 4 about this lame man sitting at the gate of the temple called Beautiful. This man was always on the outside looking in, unable to enter.  People, full of compassion, would give him things but no one could give him what he really wanted.  He didn't even ask for it.  He had been this way all his life and (I am assuming), he just never thought things could be different so why think about it.

Look Up

But you know, God knows what we need even when we don't see a way out of our situation.  Peter said to the lame man, "Look at us." This man did as he was told, expecting the same hand out that he had been receiving for over 40 years.  But not today.  Today was a new day.  Today was a day ordained of God.  Today his life would be forever changed.  Something new was about to happen.  As he is looking up to Peter and John, in his obedience, he is on the brink of transformation...Oh, can you feel the excitement?  Can you sense what God is getting ready to do?  Peter took him by his right hand and lifted him to his feet...his feet and ankle bones were strengthened and he leaped up, stood and walked into the temple with Peter and John.  Walking and leaping and Praising God!!  No longer is he sitting on the outside, no longer unable to enter into the holy place.  Now, he is Beyond Beautiful...complete, whole!!

I believe that we are right there, like the lame man.  God has sent us apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.  Do we have the faith and vision to believe what they are speaking to us?  Faith-What do you believe in your heart?  Vision-what are you keeping before your eyes?  Prayer expands your faith and vision.  Jesus is saying, "Look at me"...Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other."-Isaiah 45:22.

Don't turn away just before a hand reaches down and lifts you up.  Look up, take the hand, be whole. You see there is being beautiful and there is beyond beautiful.  Beautiful is the healing, when you go beyond beautiful, you are WHOLE.  All the stuff that kept you bound in body, mind and spirit are now gone.  You have left that stuff laying there with your alms can...you no longer need it.  You are whole, you are entering into the temple...You are Beyond Beautiful!!!!

Look UP...like Sadie looking at Aunt Scovia

Of course his message was so much more and amazing.  But this is what God put on my heart today. Look at Him...Take His hand...Enter In!!!
