Sheltered In The Arms of God

As I was watching the news yesterday about the tragedy in Boston, my mind kept going to a song that Dottie Rambo wrote and my Mom used to sing when I was young.  The song is, "Sheltered In The Arms Of God."  Evil exists in this world but we have the Arms of God to run to.

"I feel the touch of hands so kind and tender
They're leading me in paths that I must trod.
I'll have no fear, for Jesus walks beside me.
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God

So let the storms rage high
The dark clouds rise
They won't worry me
For I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God
He walks with me
And naught of earth shall harm me.
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God.

Soon I shall hear, the call from heavens portals.
Come home my child
It's the last mile you must trod.
I'll fall asleep and wake in God's
New Heaven
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God

So let the storms rage high
The dark clouds rise
They won't worry me
For I'm sheltered safe within the arms of God
He walks with me
And naught of earth shall harm me
For I'm sheltered in the arms of God."

We don't understand why things like this happen but we cannot let fear rule our lives.  Jesus gives us peace and comfort in the face of evil.  I am praying for all the victims in Boston and their families around the world.  I pray that they feel the embrace of God's arms wrapped around them in this time of grief and as the healing process begins.

God Bless America…America turn and run into the Arms of God.
