What A God We Have!!

What a God we have!
And how fortunate we are to have him,
this Father of our Master Jesus!
Because Jesus was raised from the dead,
we’ve been given a brand-new life
and have everything to live for,
including a future in heaven—
and the future starts now!
God is keeping careful watch over us and the future.
The Day is coming when you’ll have it all—
life healed and whole.
-1 Peter 1:3-5 MSG

My mother sent me this scripture this morning through a text.  When I looked it up in the Message, I loved how it started out..."What a God we have!!".  I thought, what a way to start the day.

My nephew, Jon Grapes at church last night
Bringing the WORD
Being willing to stand in for his grandfather and uncle
who are ministering in the Philippines
GOD IS RAISING UP A JOSHUA!!

Last night at church, my nephew, Jon Grapes spoke.  He spoke about Love Everlasting.  How Jesus had to go to Samaria (where he met the woman at the well).  Love compelled Him to go there.  Love compelled Jesus to meet us where we are.  He met the Samaritan woman right where she was...He meets us in the middle of our sin and brokenness.  Offering us healing and deliverance...New Life...Living Water.  WHAT A GOD WE HAVE!!!

What does love compel you to do?

Are you giving of yourself?

When you see someone in need, what do you do?

When you have the source of life...do you give it or hoard it unto yourself?

Where else did Jesus go because of LOVE?

He went to the cross.  Taking on our offenses and punishments.  Now we have a future.  The promise of a life healed and whole!!  WHAT A GOD WE HAVE!!!

If you are feeling sick, discouraged, hopelessness...remember that God is keeping careful watch over us and the future.  He will meet you where you are. Let Him love on you today.

Just maybe He will put you in a place where you can be His arms around another hurting person...meeting them where they are.

WHAT A GOD WE HAVE!!!

Autumn and Kelcie...
Cousins, can you tell??

I want to say Happy Birthday to my niece, Autumn Elizabeth Estep.  She is 16 today.  A girl so full of life and promise.  She is smart, beautiful and I think just a lovely person.  So happy she is a part of our family.
