Heart in the pavement, found on our walk last night. God is ever mindful of us. |
"Why would you ever complain, O Jacob,
or, whine, Israel, saying, "God has lost track
of me. He doesn't care what happens to me"?
Don't you know anything?
Haven't you been listening?
God doesn't come and go.
God lasts.
He's Creator of all you can see or imagine.
He doesn't get tired out,
doesn't pause to catch His breath.
And he knows everything, inside and out.
He energizes those who get tired,
gives fresh strength to dropouts.
For even young people tire and drop out,
young fold in their prime stumble and fall.
But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don't get tired,
they walk and don't lag behind."
Isaiah 40:27-31 MSG
Things sure haven't changed much in the minds of people since the days of Jacob. We still forget who God is and how much He loves us and knows our hearts and struggles.
We sing verse 31 in the King James Version at church..."But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

I read this scripture first thing in the morning. It's full of HOPE and LIFE.
GOD LASTS...He doesn't run away from us.
He is not afraid of our trials, our shortcomings, our fatigue. He is prepared to help us. To give us what we need to succeed and continue on. He knows us and loves us anyway. AMAZING!!!
Today, if you are struggling, feeling alone, bone tired of the dailiness of life...Call out to God. It's amazing how just sharing what you are feeling with the LORD, helps. He will answer you. He will strengthen you. Whether it be a scripture, a visit from a friend or something that makes you laugh or inspires you...He doesn't come and go...GOD LASTS!!!!
Enjoy the beautiful day that God has given us.
