"Words that do not give the light
of Christ increase
the Darkness"
Mother Teresa
What do you talk about?
Do you talk about how life has done you wrong or do you see God's hand moving in your life?
What we speak has power.
If I am constantly telling my kids that they are no good and will never amount to anything-in most cases that is what will happen.
If I encourage those same kids and tell them what they can do and build their confidence-in most cases, they will succeed and go on to do greater things.
Even Jesus did that. He told the disciples that the works He did, they will do and even greater works than these because he went on to His Father. In other words, "YOU CAN DO IT!!" (John 14:12)
He told us, "what is bound on earth will be bound in heaven, what is loosed on earth will be loosed in heaven."…We have the power. (Matthew 18:18)
"How we forgive, we will be forgiven"…power! (Matthew 6:14)
"But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive you"…power! (Mark 11:26)
Such authority has been given to us and yet we still speak as if our words mean nothing.
I admire Mother Teresa. She spoke words of comfort and hope. She gave her life to the poor and abandoned. She looked into the face of the unwanted and undesirable and saw the face of Jesus.
She is a true hero for Christians and the world.
"I am a little pencil in the
hand of a writing God,
who is sending a
love letter
to the
world"
Mother Teresa
If God is using us to send a love letter to the world, our words should be love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self control.
I want to encourage you today, be that love letter to the world.
Tell of His blessings in your life.
Speak encouragement to someone.
Smile at a stranger.
Give of yourself without being noticed and without complaint.
You can do it.
Have a blessed day.
Here are a couple of pics that always brighten my day.
