"So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good.
At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't
give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get
the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the
people closest to us in the community of faith."
Galatians 6:9-10 MSG
This was the reading this morning at our leadership meeting and when I got home, it was the reading on my daily devotional. So I had to take a closer look.
I love how the Bible is full of encouragement along with instruction. Every good teacher or coach knows that when you are trying for excellence, you must encourage the student or athlete along with the instruction or you will have an out of balance pupil. Galatians tells us not to give up but it doesn't stop there, it continues on to tell us where to start or where to focus.
I am going to leave you with one more scripture. I hope it encourages you today. Instruction, encouragement and hope are here in this scripture.
"Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do,
everywhere you go;
He's the one who will keep you on track.
Don't assume that you know it all.
Run to God!
Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
give Him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
your wine vats will brim over.
But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline;
don't sulk under His loving correction.
It's the child He loves that God corrects;
a father's delight is behind all this."
Proverbs 3:5-12 MSG
I pray you are encouraged and strengthened today.
